Scott Gerstel, Programming and Engagement Associate

After growing up in sunny South Florida, Scott attended the University of Central Florida where served on the Student Government and as IFC President. After graduating with his degree in Public Administration, Scott spent the first few years of his career traveling the country visiting college campuses for AEPi and TAMID Group. Following his work in the Jewish non-profit space, Scott took his talents to the private sector and worked at as a project manager for an Education Technology platform, working to enhance the technology suite and sharpen internal operations. Scott is an avid traveler having spent a bulk of the last two years traveling around the globe searching for the best local street foods and prettiest mountain-top views. Recently, he spent 3 months between the Middle East, India, Eastern Europe, and North Africa.

Scott is excited to join the Hillels of Palm Beach and Broward on the Student Life Team as he makes his way back to service within the Jewish Community. His favorite thing to do is staff Birthright trips, having just completed his 6th trip In August. When he is not working, you can find Scott in nature strolling through the Yamato Scrub or at home playing his guitar, piano, or attempting to learn the drums.
