Lauren Gutierrez, Ezra Springboard Fellow

Lauren is a proud alumna of The University of Florida, with UF’s Hillel being a staple of her college experience. She graduated in May of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. Upon graduation, she was an assistant teacher at a school for children with various learning and developmental disabilities. In August of 2021, she moved to Israel as a participant in Masa’s Israel Teaching Fellowship, spending a year teaching English to students around the Haifa area, as well as diving deeper into her Jewish roots through connecting with long-lost family in Jerusalem. She is a lover of all things outdoors, and when she’s not swimming or rock climbing, you can find her cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen. She is as excited as ever to take on this new position as the Springboard Ezra Fellow and looks forward to all that’s to come in her role with the Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach on FAU’s campus.
